KWANLIN DÜN CULTURAL CENTRE
WHITEHORSE, YUKON

Designed by David Nairne & Associates to incorporate the Whitehorse Public Library, the Kwanlin Dün Cultural Centre is located on the banks of the Yukon River in downtown Whitehorse, Yukon. Dominion Construction was the builder.

Our involvement included:

  • In-depth consultation, scoping, sourcing and transportation services
  • Materials supply, including:
    • 3-D model of final design
    • All required custom-cut Coastal Douglas Fir, kiln dried and planed timber
    • All required Boise Cascade engineered wood products (including floor joist layout)
    • Custom cut and pre-stained Western Red Cedar siding and paneling
    • Engineered wood floor system, pre-stained
    • Western Red Cedar tongue and groove roof decking
  • All pieces labeled and keyed to the plan, then packed, transported and delivered to build site
